On August 11, 2014 I was heading home from a vacation when I received a call my basement was flooding. I contacted Randy Maycock from 1-800 Board up, a representative for On-Site Specialty Cleaning & Restoration while on the road to see if they could provide assistance. To my relief I received a call back they would respond.
I was fortunate to have family get to my house and use a submersion pump to help hold off some water, and the drains began to function later. Family members had done their best to get personal items off the floor and move electrical cords. My basement looked like a tornado went through it after the flood with items being tossed everywhere in order to minimize damage.
Carlos Garcia and another member of the On-Site team arrived and surveyed the basement. Carlos and his partner brought in blowers and air scrubbers and sprayed a microbial agent. I fell asleep as they worked, and when they completed their work Carlos woke me to let me know he was leaving. Carlos and his partner were very courteous and professional. Carlos advised me of what I should do with the basement in terms of damage and sanitization. As of this writing I'm still trying to decide what I want to do with the basement.
I sincerely appreciate the immediate response and professional manner in which I was treated. I'm employed as a Fire Chief and am often on the other side of a response, not the receiver. From a customer service standpoint I want On-Site to know I am extremely pleased with the service I received and the extra attention I feel I was given. There were multiple cities experienceing extreme flooding, but I felt I like I was their only customer. The company contacted me and let me know how soon they'd be able to repsond, and the crew worked in a professional and timely manner. I didn't get the impression they were pressured to get in and out at all, given the call volume they must have been experiencing.
Thank you for all your assistance with my flood. I was really in a panic not being home and unsure of exactly was happening. I will definitely recommend On-Site for any emergency. I've been on both sides of a response from On-Site and I am very Pleased with your service.
